Academic Advising book design and layout

Background

Published by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and written by specialists in academic advising, this book discusses five exemplary programs.

Problem

AACC wanted a design that illustrated the subject matter.

Solution

We used a compass as the primary design element to symbolize leading and guiding, incorporating photos into the compass. The photos represent various ages and types of students, from workforce and career professional to campus. Unselected designs included an image of a path through a forest and a person walking through a maze.
